Christianity does not break from Judaism but stands in direct continuity with it, fulfilling the promises revealed in the Old Testament. The people of Israel are not strangers to our faith, but our ancestors in faith, whose story is our own. As we await Christ’s coming, we are called to pray with love and humility for the fullness of God’s promises to be revealed.
