So quickly the trappings of Christmas disappear. So quickly the season’s trends become after-Christmas clearance. So quickly the momentary peace that we enjoyed on Christmas disappears with the post-Christmas rush towards the New Year and a return back to the busyness of daily life. 

For Jesus, the months after Christmas were dangerous. He and his family had to flee for their lives when he was no more than a toddler, because a wicked king wanted him dead. Yet our Savior was saved to save us. Why? God’s love that will not be put away.
