Matt & Gus are in the studio this week talking about Matt's turkey hunt over the previous weekend, how his new blind worked out, some interesting developments in Blue Run's new distillery and an announcement on our upcoming multi-episode series on ancient archery methods and technology.

Topics Discussed: Some general BSing to get things going. Matt's most recent turkey hunt and testing a new turkey blind and dealing with pressured turkey on a fmall hunt club. Plans to produce a number of multi-episode series covering outdoor and whiskey topics. The first topic we'll be goign deep and nerding out on will be archery! We'll be starting in 10,000 B.C. and working our way to current times dissecting the way bows and arrows were used, ancient techniques for archery hunting and much more about the various archery tactics, tools and methods for hunting and making the weapons themselves. Our new photo contest with Dom Gatto, wildlife photographer and executive producer of the Whiskey & Whitetails Podcast. We'll be collaborating with Dom Gatto to do a joint wildlife and whiskey photography contest. Blue Note distillery's new plans to build a state of the art distillery in Kentucky. The viability of the deal to finance the buildng of the distillery by leveraging the projected annual growth in the value of the bourbon barrels Blue Run owns. The current trends in the bourbon market and how we don't believe they align with the necessary growth for Blue Run to back up its investment. New bow rests for our product line to be hitting the website soon.
