The Joseph Graham Show

125. Dan Nicholson systems and processes are key for business growth

Listen Later

A serial entrepreneur since birth, Dan Nicholson took a detour through the “conventional” model of graduating summa cum laude with degrees in accounting and information systems, completing a fellowship at the Governmental Accounting Standards Board, working at Deloitte and various Fortune 500 companies, and being named to the 40 Under 40 list of global accountants four times. One day, Dan woke from his cloud of dissonance, tired of the corporate drudgery of meetings about meetings and future meetings. Now, he takes the conventional and applies it to the non-conventional by helping purpose-driven entrepreneurs achieve financial certainty
Dan is the founder of multiple companies across finance, accounting, and software, but his real passion is teaching entrepreneurs and small business owners. He is the founder of CertaintyU and creator of a 20-week entrepreneurial education course and certifcation, Certified Certainty Advisor. The course teaches the concepts, principles and action steps to becoming an extraordinary leader and reach the top 1% of your industry. He is also author the USA Today and WSJ Best Seller, Rigging The Game: How To Achieve Financial Certainty, Navigate Risk and Make Money on Your Terms, and the host of the popular podcast, Rigging the Game, and lives in Seattle with his wife and two daughters.
ABOUT RIGGING THE GAME
Why do some always seem to win while others always seem to fail? And, why do some win and then fail to maintain their spot at the top?
Is it luck? Not to spoil the contents of this book, but no, it isn’t.
To see this kind of consistent success in your own business, you're going to have to turn the magnifying glass on yourself. Because the fact is, nothing you do—no action you take, no strategic financial decision you make—matters if it doesn't bring you closer to the things you really want.
So, how do you ensure that you can ultimately reach (and fund) your priorities?
Rigging the Game: How To Achieve Financial Certainty, Navigate Risk, and Make Money On Your Terms by Dan Nicholson, is an easy-to-navigate, step-by-step operating system that helps you achieve and sustain financial certainty in your own entrepreneurship game so you don’t have to second-guess what you’re not doing—or rely on luck.
Rigging the Game lays out the top three reasons why some people seem to win all the time while others don’t; the Four Commandments for achieving financial certainty; the proprietary algorithms to make your new Operating System work; and the proper steps to identifying priorities and fully funding them in an ideal timeline.
This book exists to help you create and follow a path to the things you truly value, whatever they may be, and eliminate the risk and financial uncertainty that commonly plague business owners every single day.
Rigging the Game is not about doing everything with 10x the maximum effort in your business or becoming someone you’re not. It’s about building an operating system that allows you to reduce effort, reduce risk and increase your options without compromising who you are.
