The mighty man of valor, King David, knew the Scriptures well. To a casual onlooker, his bold advance upon Goliath would seem foolhardy at best, and absolute suicide at worst. However, to the attentive disciple of the Warrior Ethos, David employed a perfect combination of faith in God and decisively courageous action in the defeat of his opponent. In other words, David knew how to face giants, and we can learn from his example.
