He shows how Jesus fulfilled the hope of Israel, as expressed in the Servant Songs of Isaiah, and yet was rejected by those in his home town. He challenges us to have the same heart for mission as Jesus did; to love the marginalised as he did; and to be prepared to face rejection now by people for the sake of a royal welcome home when we see Christ.
