Student loan forgiveness is back in the public eye once more. College debt is out of control and tuition rates are even worse. At first glance, the right and the left do not see eye to eye on what is wrong with higher-ed and what can be done about it. But if we reframe the issue in a slightly different way, there might be a solution that the right and the left can agree on vigorously. And at this time, we should be looking for areas where we can agree with people across the ailse, while maintianing principled stands on each side. So here's my recommendation on how to talk about tuition.
