13. A Tale of Two Sisters (2003)

Listen Later

In this week's episode, Megan and George are joined by friend and horror fan Jade Pham to unpack Kim Jee-woon's South Korean psychological horror A Tale of Two Sisters (2004).
The film follows a recently released patient from a mental health facility who returns home with her sister, only to face disturbing events between her stepmother and the ghosts haunting their house - all of which are connected to a dark past in the family's history.
In this relaxed & fun episode, we discuss the "untrustworthy narrator", how cultural fears work their way into horror cinema, discovering horror as a teenager, the horror film as a window into cultural urban legends, karma, death rituals in Vietnam and.. we giggle a lot!
Enjoy!
