On the 25th May 2020, George Floyd’s death at the hands of the Minneapolis Police sparked a wave of global protests, action and conversation around the movement for black lives. At first, the protests were exciting and energising, and then everything became exhausting and overwhelming. In this episode, Layla tries to process all that happened in 2020, by speaking to journalists and activists from marginalised communities.
VENT Documentaries are produced by Jess Lawson and Arlie Adlington, with help from Emilia Gill, Moeed Majeed and Kamiah Chae.
