  • We discuss Black Lives Matter, Looters, Riots, Antifa, and if the root of it all is ENVY.
  • Everyone agreed, across the board, that the George Floyd incident was horrible, but then they violated their argument.
  • Was the goal to take down the oppressors? But then the oppressed become the oppressors or the oppressors.
  • Elites were helping until they became targets.
  • Three things are being conflated: Police Brutality protesters, Looters, and Antifa.
  • Is Antifa organized? Probably not at the ground level.
  • The mystery of the "palettes of bricks" just showing up 20x
  • Antifa is anarchists - We disagree on the definition.
  • The Shadows vs. the Vorlons (obscure Babylon 5 reference - creative destruction vs. status quo - Vorlons rebuild after the devastation)
  • People cannot organize without purpose.
  • Are cities done? Is the upside of living in a city over? Is it not worthwhile to live in a city anymore? We need to look at the number of people leaving cities.
  • Isn't everything driven by envy? Maybe not the BLM folks, but the other 2, for sure

  • Envy is one of the most potent emotions - is that the root of Buddhism - Buddhism says that the world is full of suffering (Duḥkha), and the reason people are suffering is due to envy. Eliminate envy, and you eliminate suffering.
  • Living within yourself - leads to enlightenment.
  • Determinism to Free will? Or is it Locus of Control - is it within or without?
  • You have to be accountable for what you believe is right.
  • You can experience anger via sporting events - but how can you socialize envy? How to bleed off the excess envy? Is there some other way, without giving them what they want?
  • Learning Calculus, Blender, or Japanese? Do we need to climb that mountain?
