As a military wife and mom, Sarah Hallford loved baking cookies for friends and family. One day she made cookies for a friend’s party. Everyone loved them and asked her to make cookies for them too. So she made it official and turned her passion for cookie making into a business from home.
At one point, after a period of burnout, she went back to work in the corporate world but felt like she wasn’t complete without doing something creative.
Sarah got the permits she needed to be able to work in her home kitchen and she talks about the rules and regulations for cottage food laws.
She also talks about the tools she uses to make her such an amazing cookie artist and the active cookie maker community that is an active member of.
Sarah found a niche doing pop up shops and sells hundreds of cookies straight from her house.
Most of her marketing is through Facebook and word of mouth.
