Buffalo’s search for a new head coach following Lance Leipold’s departure has come to a quick, and fairly impressive, end after just a week of the job opening up. Maurice Linguist is Buffalo’s new head coach and will be formally introduced Monday. While there’s still a lot of work left for him to still do between now and the start of the upcoming football season, this doesn’t seem like it’s the kind of hire Buffalo scrambled around aimlessly for at the last minute. Linguist is a guy that has a year of NFL coaching experience under his belt, and is more than proven himself as a recruiter. Doesn’t hurt that he actually knows the area, too.
