The G1 Tournament continues in NJPW, the plot thickens with Johnny Mundo in Lucha Underground, and Brock Lesnar defends the Universal Title on Saturday against Samoa Joe ..... in a House Show?!
WWE Battleground took place last Sunday, and we break down each of the matches. Monday Night RAW continues its trend of awesome shows, opening with GM Kurt Angle booking the Universal Title match for Summer Slam. Sasha Banks appears on the verge of a heel turn, and what's the deal with Seth Rollins & Dean Ambrose?
Over on SmackDown Live, they host a "redemption edition" off the back of Battleground, revisiting a lot of the matches from the PPV card, and opening the show with a YUUGE surprise return which leads to a Match-of-the-Year contender Triple Threat for our Main Event! We learn who is next in line for Jinder Mahal's WWE Championship at Summer Slam, and the Usos ambush The New Day.
NXT took a bit of a breather this week as we saw a lot of promotion and build towards Takeover Brooklyn. We saw Ember Moon in competition again, AOP & Sanity mixed it up, Drew McIntyre cuts a promo, and Kassius Ohno meets the new heel-form of Hideo Itami.
With no PPV this weekend, we're looking forward to diving more into the NJPW G1 tournament next weekend! Will it be Naito vs Okada as everyone expects?! #RIPDaryl
