A Woman's View with Amanda Dickson

1/3 of college freshman around the world say they need mental health services. Why?

Listen Later

Colleges around the country, including here in Utah, are dealing with students needing help with mental health in ways they did not in years before. At least a third of freshmen in eight countries report they need mental health services. Students describe the fear of being invisible, but also the fear of their flaws being noticed. They also fear the price of living and the pressure of being a success. KSL Newsradio’s Amanda Dickson talks with her guests this week on A Woman’s View about this and also about whether Utah’s state universities should put a freeze on tuition - Ann House, the director of the Financial Wellness Center at the University of Utah, and Meghan Holbrook, senior vice president in the office of the president of Zions Bank.
