Passion To Legacy

13: Part 2 with Hilary Arentz-Huffman

Listen Later

If you haven't yet, be sure to tune in to episode 12 for part 1 of my interview with Hilary Arentz-Huffman.

In part 2 of my interview with Hilary, we dive into her humanitarian spirit. Hilary teaches many training sessions at an assisted living facility for adults with special needs who want to live a more independent life. She shares insight into what it is like working with adults with special needs, as well as how she has found a passion for helping them tap into their version of what strong is.

Hilary earned a B.S. in Kinesiology from CSULB. Her training style varies from one-on-one sessions, to virtual small group classes. She is currently in the process of creating a larger online presence with an on-demand library of live classes. Her goal is to provide a fully inclusive, judgement-free space where all bodies, and all levels of strength are celebrated. Play is encouraged, because fitness should be FUN, and feel good!

In this episode, we cover:

  • How to get involved in working with adults with special needs
  • How Hilary uses different activities to promote fitness and fun
  • How to adapt your training to teach different people at different levels
