13. Studying Ecological Engineering in Canada & Having a Passion for Sustainability w/Mathilde Guglielmi

Listen Later

“I think social media and YouTube are great tools, as well. There’s definitely more STEM influencers or science communicators on Instagram and Twitter and YouTube even, that can be inspiring.”

Today I sit down and chat with Mathilde, who is currently a graduate student studying ecological engineering in Canada. She is conducting research on organic waste management, so we chat all about what that entails and how she got into this kind of research. We also chat about her internship experiences and what some of her biggest takeaways were from them. Mathilde has moved around a lot in her life and we talk about how the exposure to different kinds of culture has made her a “citizen of the world”. She is also bilingual in French and English and she gives us insight on what it is like to be bilingual within her family.
