  • The sacrament Anointing of the Sick is a sacrament of healing.
  • What is it? – it is a prayer for healing and forgiveness, spiritually, emotionally and physically for the forgiveness of sins but when the person is still alive.
  • Sometimes the prayer is with the person and sometimes it is with the person and their family.
  • This sacrament is not to be administered when a person dies.
  • All sacraments are for the living.
  • It is true it can assist a person getting ready to be received by God.
  • Grace which is received in all sacraments is a share in divine or God's life.
  • Life is enriched by the grace of God.
  • Christ healed everyone with every illness which included physical and mental health.
  • God intends to restore.
  • God is a loving God.
  • All can benefit from the sacrament of the sick.
