In a small village in North India in 1985. Dusty roads. Tiny houses made from clay and brick. The smell of smoke from cooking fires hanging in the air. Kids running barefoot outside while old men sit around drinking tea and talking about village gossip.

And then suddenly…

A young mother freezes in the middle of the road.

Her fingers slowly bend backward in ways fingers are not supposed to bend.

Her teeth start grinding so loudly that people nearby can hear it.

And the baby in her arms starts screaming.

But a few months later… she dies.

Her family prepares her funeral.

Then 45 minutes later…

She wakes up.

However, she's no longer herself...
