Dear Dance

130 | Booking Beyoncé, Pandas And Being A Model with Kessie Brawner

Listen Later

Kessie is a native New Yorker and started her dance training at the Ailey school until she went on to receive her BFA at The University of the Arts as a dance major. She got signed to her agency MSA in 2015 and one year later she booked her first gig dancing for Beyoncé at the 2016 VMA awards she then went on to dance with other artists and growing as an artist herself. She is now choreographing and aspires to creatively direct major projects through her brand KessOgraphy.
During the episode we attempted a popular Tik Tok craft where you strip the foil off CDs and paint them for a cute aesthetic decor piece. Kessie shares a bit about her dance journey which included booking Beyoncé as her FIRST professional dance job🤯, spilling the tea on Jimmy Fallons Hashtag The Panda, her passion for poetry and writing music along with so many other things.
Follow Kessie at @Kess.City on Instagram and make sure to check out her choreography page too @kess.ography.
