‘Happiest Season’ - Our first trailer off the park this week comes from writer/director Clea DuVall as we get the perfect holiday film made for 2020! Kristen Stewart and Mackenzie Davis lead the way in this Christmas film centered around a couple, Harper and Abby,  heading to Harper's parent's house for Christmas. But right before they arrive, Harper drops the bomb on Abby that her family doesn’t know she is gay, and oh boy, let the ‘hiding my lesbian lover’ hijinx begin! Stacked to the brim with a talented cast including Alison Brie, Aubrey Plaza, Mary Steenburgen, Victor Garber, and Dan Levy just to name a few, this Christmas film is sure to be full of enough heart, laughs, and ‘in the closet’ jokes anyone can handle! Unfortunately coming to Hulu, November 26! ‘Vanguard’ - Jackie Chan is back baby! Our second trailer this week sees the legendary (and aging) Kung fu star back on the big screen leading the way in this huge, bombastic, colossal action flick setting the world on fire! I mean, probably not, but hey it’s Jackie Chan! Chan leads a special organization named ‘Vanguard’, designed to protect important people all over the world. The trailer even brags about this in big letters on the screen, Travelling from England to South Africa to Abu Dhabi and more! What a budget!! Cliche action scenes and a random lion fill the rest of the trailer and I think we get the picture as to what to expect from this popcorn film! Coming to cinemas later this year! ‘Wild Mountain Thyme’ - Cue Mitchell doing a terrible Irish accent at some point during this description! Wild Mountain Thyme is our third trailer this week as we see Mr. Fifty Shades himself Jaime Dornan and Emily Blunt play Irish folk who grew up as neighbors their whole lives. Now as adults and with a land dispute on the horizon, is time running out for the two ‘obviously meant to be together’ pair before Blunt's father, played by Christopher Walken, sells his land to handsome American John Hamm?! Only the bright sunny sky in Ireland has the answer! Coming to on-demand and theatres, December 11! ‘Superintelligence’ - Super Couple Melissa McCarthy and Ben Falcons are back together again for McCarthy’s next leading comical role in ‘Superintelligence’. When a technology (voiced by James Corden, ugh) decides it is going to destroy humanity, it offers the human race one last chance at survival by monitoring regular shmoe Carol Peters (played by McCarthy) to see whether or not she can be the saving grace! Full of all the regular McCarthy hijinx you would expect to see with her signature brand of physical comedy and witty one-liners, be prepared for doomsday!! Or not? I guess we will see, or fucking not on the 26th of November as it’s an HBO Max property.
