Josh sits down with Switch Designs founder James Poss. Switch Designs is a brand dedicated to innovating the outdoor luggage and bag space, specifically with their one of a kind boot bag. It’s a rare thing indeed to get excited about boot bags but, wish Switch’s one-of-a-kind (and we really mean there’s never been anything like it) your bag can transform into a backpack to a tote with an extremely and effortlessly simple buckle system. Poss is a long time skier and self-taught design, his first design being a pair of gloves that ended up on top-level skiers. Though that first pair of gloves was merely a high school project, that was enough to stoke passion within him to follow through with building his experience. The inspiration for reinventing the everyday ski bag was simple: He found it ridiculous that no one has designed a updated boot bag since boots are an absolute necessity. From there it was just rolling up his sleeves, getting to work, and after a long prototyping phase Poss and the rest of the Switch Designs team came up with a significantly more flexible and functional bag that looks incredible.
