The Lowdown on the Father Trainor Poetry Slam

Jane (aka Ruburt) decided to get a bit adventurous last week. She started reading poetry and—surprise!—the voice of Father Trainor, a deceased Irish priest she knew, came booming out of her like she’d swallowed a megaphone. While it was a "legitimate experience," Seth had to step in and tell everyone to take a breath. Apparently, Jane spent five or six hours doing this, and Seth was not exactly thrilled about the "obstinate" way she pushed her energy.

Key Insights from the Session

• Chill on the Experiments: Seth is all about that "less is more" energy. He noted that thirty minutes a day for psychological time experiments is plenty. Jane was "pretending" to rest while actually burning through her inner reserves.
• The Ego is Just the Tip of the Iceberg: Seth dropped a truth bomb about identity. He warned that it’s "extremely limiting" to think the ego is the whole self. The inner self is the real heavy lifter here.
• Touch Grass (Literally): To keep from getting "overinvolved" in the spooky stuff, Seth recommended some very human activities. He’s a big fan of daily brisk walks, vitamins, and even Saturday housecleaning to keep things balanced.
• Go Dancing and Have a Drink: Seth is officially the coolest spirit guide. He suggested Jane and Rob head out to "jolly haunts," go dancing, and maybe have a few drinks (but not too many!) to recharge their batteries.
• Friendship and Nosebleeds: The session took a turn for the medical when Seth mentioned their friend Mark (Bill Macdonnel), who recently had a major nosebleed. Seth gave him a shoutout for being a "trustworthy friend" and promised to talk more about that "seizure" later.
• Balance is Everything: Spontaneity is great, but don't let it turn into a "semitrance" that leaves you disconnected. Jane’s Father Trainor impression was a "phase of Ruburt’s developing abilities," but it needs a harness.
