As women, we're often told that we have to choose. We can't have the great career and the family. We can't have the house and the wedding. Even more so, as Black women, the mainstream representation of "having it all" never includes those that look like us. But we know that's not the truth. We're talking with public health professional Brittany Gerald about how she's planning her wedding while maintaining a full-time career, growing her small business, buying a house, being a mom and fiancee all at the same time.
