In the 2016 documentary Neil Gaiman: Dream Dangerously, viewers follow along with Gaiman to see the spectacle that was his 2013 book signing tour. In the fallout of the harrowing accounts publicized in summer 2024 and winter 2025 alleging the many vile crimes of Gaiman, this decade-old documentary conveys far more sinister messaging than ever intended.

As Salt and Keigen watch and analyze this poorly-aged hagiographic record they discuss the ways in which Gaiman already had long exuded an over-the-top narcissism, the slippery and manipulative use of the word ‘mythology’, and the sweet sense of retribution that is knowing an airborne can of beer took down The Sandman.
