Listen Later

Everyone talks about becoming successful but few show you the path to get there. I hear all the time put in the work, don’t give up on your dreams. It’s the process not the outcome. This use to bug me to no end. What’s the process, what work do I need to do? How do I figure it out?So let me break it down a little better for you. You see the guy in the first picture was broke and working hard in a factory 7 days a week. Going to McDonald’s was a big deal for us then. I understood the working hard, I just had not learned yet you work hard to build your dreams not others. That you have to level up skills wise and learn a process that will make you money consistently and without a cap. Now there are months I make more than I did in a year just being a hard worker. Now you may be saying well I don’t have a process like that? Well I did not either 18 years ago when I bet on myself. I took a calculated risk and honestly failed miserably. I was making a little more than in my factory job doing in home sales. It was the right vehicle but my skill level was not up to par.So I had to learn the process. I started reading books like rich dad poor dad, sell or be sold by Grant Cardone. I listen to YouTube trainings on sales. I started to fail forward. All while on a 100 percent commission job with two littles and a hot wife to support.Over the next 10 years my skills improved and I moved into a job where you sell over the phone instead of in person. Totally different skill set but one I fell in love with. Again I kept leveling up listening to Ed Mylett and Jordan belfort. I was making more for sure but had not broken that 6 figures barrier. Then as I thought I was doing amazing making money and some month over 30k the job I was doing did not work for me anymore. I ended up taking another sales role and my money went from over 100k to 48k for the year. Now most of you would of given up here. I was at the top doing great only to crash back to earth. At this point I almost quit. I was on food stamps, driving Uber and had a sales job that did not pay. I came close to a nervous breakdown. I was drinking and just trying to survive. This is where having the right partner in your corner matters. My wife believe in me even when I did not. She encouraged me to take another role this time door knocking for cable. At first my pride got in the way. I was like I was closing millionaires and now I am going to sell TV.Yet some times you have to listen to wisdom and humble yourself. I took the job as a out fromWhat I was doing. It was nights and weekends and I banged 100 doors a day. I was determined to provide for my family no matter what. I never stopped learning now I was listening to Impact theory and Gray V. Deep down I knew I was called to do more. After a year of door knocking the opportunity I have now open up. I took a role for a new position at Spectrum Enterprise in 2018 as a inside salesman. In the first full year I qualified for president circle, I did it again the next year. I was like I may be on to something here. My income was way pass 100k and closing on 200k. I was a top seller for a fortune 100 company year after year. So in June of 2021 I went to a event inWhitefish Montana. I invested 3000 into myself. Which lead me to meeting my dear friend George Bryant who encouraged me to start my podcast The 150K Podcast. They are right it’s the process not the outcomes that get you to your goals. You need a system that will pay you consistently over time. Don’t give up on your dreams even if it feels like the world is falling down. So much good has happen since I bet on me. This is just the start of my story. What do you want out of life. What do you love to do that you can level up in? Are you willing to bet on yourself to win? The second pictures are the last trip my company paid for me to go to in palm beach florida at a 5 star hotel with a ocean veiw.
