“So from that moment, I really developed a sense of believing and trusting in my knowing, which is really the only compass I've got to work from. It's not out there, it's inside. One time I was working on this artwork, and I had my beautiful classical music on and a glass of wine, and I was right into the zone and my dad spoke to me. So again, not words, just a felt experience, but the thought and the knowing that he was saying this and he was going, “that's your joy.” And I had a cry. So tapping into my knowing, and the more I pay attention to it, going into the park, I just stand there and a tree will pop out at me, literally pop, and I go, “wow,” didn't notice you before. I have a bit of a conversation with it and go over to it and just be there.”
