137: Rah Digga Calls For a Universal Hip-Hop School Curriculum

Listen Later

On "The Library with Tim Einenkel", the New Jersey born MC believes a bridge between today's youth and older generations needs to be built. Rah Digga believes the solution lies in teaching Hip-Hop culture in schools. During the interview, she says, "We have to learn Victorian culture. We have to learn British culture. We're learning Mayan culture; we learn Japanese culture. Hip-Hop is also a culture and I feel like it needs to be treated as such. Queen Victoria is Roxanne Shante in Hip-Hop. Queen Elizabeth is MC Lyte."
