Can there be Autism without special interests?“

I do throw up the difference between hobbies and special interests!

NT can definitely have a special interest.

But with autism they can take up s lot of our free time …

And it’s okay.. I have a diagnosis of s mental age between 23-29… which naturally blends me out from associating with people of my age but I think the Theta level plays alot into this.

Its no secret that in every decade of our lives , we experience a drought of so many things.. no abundant of a friends group, school ( need i say more!), we ARE more sensitive to sounds, smells, but honestly we see so much stupidity all around us!!!

Being with ourselves is much more preferable!!!

A friend of mine Jane has Sarah and Mark his Mo!!!

Our inner voices connect when we meet leaving our physical selves making up the rest ( eye contact, awareness of our environment, enjoyment of like minded people, similar special interests, no tolerance for stupidity or people against one another) 

But coming back to special interests. Mine is podcasting. In 2022 I launched one new guest episode every four days…

This was just me being me…

But to be in the top 1% of podcasting you need to publish 21 episodes. ( source Linkedin from 2023)

Special interests become a problem when it ruffles peoples feathers , especially professional podcasters!!! 

The fact is they are not into it as much as we are…

Then our special interest comes over as gifted or a super power!!!

Why? 

Normal people are termed NT because they are normal… or bog standard, nothing unique…

Its all a power play.

Notice that normal is mundane and mundane is ALL around us 

People judge .. always 

We have to tolerate ALL of Neurotypical disfunction.. A lot of the population fill their life to the brim giving them no breathing space… 3 dogs to walk every day… isn't that a special interest… or beating the jones and comparing.. we see all of this but stay true to ourselves
