Not Normal…
We may choose to define ourselves as ‘other’ to characteristics, views, positions of ‘us’ constructed and normalised by society. The effort here - to self-define oneself within, outside of, or in relation to these societal constructs, without conforming to labels, characteristics and/or views others or society places on us as unique individuals.
Being ‘Not Normal’ is a lived and learned experience, often retold by others, rather than from the positionality of a lived experience of self.
