I got to break out my alto recorder, JTV Variax electric for some spaghetti western leads, and my 6- and 12-string acoustic guitars. Sorry, no video this time.

Too many voices on the air

They pull their facts out from who-knows-where

Too many voices on the air

Too many voices set in stone

Never hear a word except their own

Too many voices set in stone

And the words that we keep to ourselves

are the words that we most want to say

Too many voices crowd my brain

Lashing out against their deepest pain

Too many voices crowd my brain

And the words that we keep to ourselves

are the words that we most want to say

And the words that we whisper too softly

are the words that will never go away

Too many voices shouted down

The wisest words don’t ever get to make a sound

Too many voices in the choir

Each one tries to reach a little higher

And the words that we keep to ourselves

are the words that we most want to say

are the words that will never… go… away
