Carroll Edward Cole was an American serial killer who selected and strangled his victims to death based on his opinion of whether or not they seemed “loose” or if they reminded him of his mother. He committed his first murder at the eight years old and would later kill at least 15 women throughout his 30s and 40s but authorities believe his murder count could be as high as 35. He would end up pushing for the death penalty when he finally went to trial because he believed the longer he lived, the more it was a waste of taxpayer dollars.
