Passionate about soccer from an early age, Kara Lero was “laser-focused” on pursuing the opportunity to play soccer at the collegiate level. After a successful first semester filled with positive experiences (and a championship season) at Holyoke Community College, Kara transferred to UMass Boston. It was at this point in her career where she was met with a major, life changing adversity.

Kara received her Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise and Health Science from UMass Boston and her Master of Science degree in Nutrition Sciences from UMass Amherst. She is a Registered Dietitian through the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
