Justin Bourne (@jtbourne) is the Senior NHL columnist for The Athletic. He spent years as a pro hockey player but was forced to retire after suffering a jaw injury. Following his retirement, he took up writing and eventually had bylines in USA Today, the Hockey News, and The Score, and spent time as the Toronto Marlies video coach before joining The Athletic. We spoke to him about his journey going from pro athlete to scribe on our latest episode.
