I love hosting! I love having people over, welcoming them into my space, and making them feel at home. And I dream of the day I can make a home for my family. But no matter what life stage we are in, we have the opportunity to make our homes havens. A safe place for anyone to come to. In this episode, I walk through what it takes to make a home a haven...and it's not much! Safety, openness, relationships....that's what truly matters.
But then for ourselves, how can we make our homes havens for us, as well? Listen in as I talk more about this!
Quotes:
- Jani Ortlund says this, “I believe that a godly home is a foretaste of heaven. Our homes, imperfect as they are, must be a haven from the chaos outside. They should be a reflection of our eternal home, where troubled souls find peace, weary hearts find rest, hungry bodies find refreshment, lonely pilgrims find communion, and wounded spirits find compassion.”
Resources:
- Read Proverbs 31!
- Phylicia Masonheimer has an email course to help jumpstart productivity in the home!
