Join us in |14|, as we introduce the popular medication, Ketamine Hydrochloride. We plan to explore the use of Ketamine heavily, so we think it's appropriate to start off with a base foundation of the history of the drug, how it has been used, recent changes involving ketamine, and a couple of uses in particular. In this episode, we also address some common myths about ketamine, specifically it's drug class, and contraindications for ketamine use.
Join us in our next episode, |15|, as we plan to explore the use of Ketamine in excited delirium, the general pathophysiology of excited delirium, why it's harmful for patients, and why it is critical for us as pre-hospital providers to intervene for the sake of the patient.
