14. It's All in the Family: The Murder of Professor Rita Bartschot

Listen Later

Rita Bartschot was a beloved chemistry professor at Columbia Basin Community College in Pasco, Washington, who suddenly disappeared in August 1990 while cleaning up her deceased mother's house in Seattle. Neighbors reportedly last saw her on the morning of August 24th, doing yard work, but then noted that her car was absent from her driveway that evening. Almost three weeks later, her car was found abandoned less than two miles away, the back seat covered in blood, but Rita has never been seen again.

Anyone with information about the disappearance of Rita Bartschot should contact the Puyallup Police Department at 253-435-3653.
