A reflection on 1 Tim 2:8, from today's Second Reading: "It is my wish, then, that in every place the men should pray, lifting up holy hands, without anger or argument." Consider that when we pray, our hands are close to our heart. God desires the intimacy of union with our whole selves, all parts of us. 25th Sunday of Ordinary Time
