Sara Blowers is someone who radiates positivity, you cannot help but feel a lightness around her, which carries over into her classes as a yoga teacher, as well as her music, and general spiritual philosophy in life. Though my introduction to her was through the world of sound baths and singing crystal bowls, which for me, are one of the most intense forms of stimulating meditation, she teaches at multiple yoga studios throughout Los Angeles and performs Kirtan with her band.

But her life wasn't always this grounded. One of the things that I find fascinating about Sara is her spiritual journey through her travels and study that helped her battle crippling anxiety and weather a divorce. We talk about her time in India working with different Gurus to her hundreds of hours of yoga study under multiple teachers. We talk about the cultural appropriation of yoga, and how the western world can embrace these teachings in ways that respect their immense history. We talk about altar spaces, the power of the mind, and Amma the Hugging Saint. We end with a discussion of ecstatic dance and contract improv as well as some of Sara's picks for best cafe hideaways in Los Angeles.
