Summer Eyes is Ben Thede on guitar and lead vocals, Denny McDowell on guitar and backing vocals, Sean Pass on bass, and Justin Stimson (aka Mustin Douch) on drums. Everybody got together at Julie’s house and talked about the release of their new EP, “Raise the Alarm,” which they’ll be celebrating this Friday, December 15th at The Space.
Also on the bill is Brides, No Me Gusta, Games from Portland with members of Bubble Cats, and our own Peter Degroot’s band Vortex Remover. The show starts at 7pm, is all ages until 9pm, and costs $5 because art has value.
All the guys except Justin (who grew up in Portland) grew together on the mean streets of South Salem. They not only grew up together, but they grew up musically as well. It’s pretty sweet.
Just go ahead and listen.
Their EP is available on Bandcamp and at Ranch Records downtown for only $5! They’ll also be for sale at the show. Support some true sons of Salem and show up and show them all the love. There are five bands on the bill, and they’re all pretty different. They’ll be something for everyone. See you there.
