14. The Charge of the Light Brigade
In this podcast Harpo and RJ discuss The Charge of the Light Brigade, known probably as one of the worst blunders in military history.
From the William Howard Russell reports to the Times Newspaper, Lord Tennysons famous poem, through to the deep analysis by Harpo, re-think the Battle of Balaklava, which occurred on the 25th October 1854, at 11am, and will forever by synonymous with The Charge of the Light Brigade.
Never in the history of British military history will there be a tale of super courage and heroism by the common man, fatally mixed with the foolish arrogance and unprofessional leadership by aristocratic commanders. It has to be heard to be believed.
