As Eivind has been exploring the human struggle to be close to God this week, today he explores how it is in fact a practice. Much like working out, playing the piano, or tantric lovemaking, deepening our connection to the sacred, in whatever way it appears for us, requires work.

And he argues that if we want to be sovereign, that is work that we will need to take on, to humble ourselves and safeguard us from the risks of tyranny, our own and that of others.
