In today’s episode, I’m recapping my experience speaking at the Queensland Association of Collaborative Practice’s annual conference. It was an absolute honour to be the only non-lawyer on stage. But also, it gave me a chance to bring a fresh perspective to a room of highly skilled professionals.
I kick things off by explaining what collaborative practice actually is—because honestly, I only found out about it a couple of years ago, and I wish more people knew it existed. It’s a more human, client-led way to navigate things like separation or divorce, without the chaos of courtroom drama.
From there, I share the key theme of my keynote: trade-offs—in law, in business, and in life. I riff on four dualities I’ve noticed in my own career journey:
