The Nuremberg Trials, held from 1945 to 1946, were a series of military tribunals that prosecuted prominent leaders of Nazi Germany for their roles in the Holocaust and other war crimes committed during World War II. The trials took place in the German city of Nuremberg, which had been the site of massive Nazi rallies before and during the war.
