According to Rob Durant, (sales teams processes and enablement expert), there are 4 things that outstanding salesmen practice that regular ones don't:

1. They ask better, deeper questions. They listen actively. They don't just wait for their time to speak. 
2. They try to uncover the problem, not the symptoms. Many customers obsess over the symptoms because they don't know what the root issue is.
3. They present the solutions by educating the customers about the problem.
4.They show up regularly. Simple as that. You can't close offers if you don't put them out there in the first place.
