After a recent meeting through a program committee that I am on, this topic came up consistently and I felt it was significantly relevant for this time as you may be approaching mid-year reviews. Something I believed in as an employee in the corporate world and then as an employer now, is the power of being your biggest advocate when it comes to your career. So in today’s episode I’ll be debunking 3 common myths I’ve heard surrounding excuses involving taking action towards your personal recognition, reviews and raises. I’ll provide you with some examples, different perspectives and advice to employees and employers as you lead- so everyone can win!
