An award-winning author, climber, explorer and occasional dustman.
In 1987, when he was supposed to be studying to get into university, Paul Deegan discovered that Everest Base Camp had turned into a rubbish dump. So he decided to do something about it.
A year later, aged 18, Paul became the world's highest dustman when he co-led a 47-strong team that dealt with the mountain of litter that had accumulated at the foot of the world's highest peak.
