Unemployed And Successful: Build A Personal Brand So Strong You Never Have To Work For Anyone Again

147 | 22 Mistakes I Made In My Business (& How You Can Avoid Them!)

Listen Later

Looking back, it's not the most glamorous stuff to share, but it needs to be said. Too often, I see coaches only sharing "the good stuff." Only the, "i'm an expert! here's what you should do!" and I'm guilty of it too.

So today, I peel back the curtain and share some "not so great" moments where I made mistakes in my business. It's part of the growth process, but I hope that in sharing these perspectives you find wisdom and insight you may not have otherwise had access to.

The Mistakes:

1. not hiring a mentor soon enough

2. not solidifying my client transformation

3. not asking for the sale

4. not telling friends/fam what I do

5. not setting aside tax money

6. being inconsistent with content

7. being inconsistent with DM Outreach / Making Connections

8. Not understanding my worth and undercharging

9. not researching my competitors

10. being hesitant to invest

11. blindly investing in ads or gimmicks

12. investing in courses I didn't need

13. not building an email list

14. not understanding funnels

15. not reading enough

17. not outsourcing appropriately

18. trying to do only 1:1 coaching, forever.

19. using the launching model for way too long

20. not understanding my ideal client deeply enough

21. niche-hopping

22. offer mania
