This episode is the second in a new series of Strategy Sessions with a listener who has a burning question to ask, needs help narrowing down her options, or just wants a listening ear so she can find clarity amidst all the options before her.
Ashley Johnson has a bent toward entrepreneurship and a love of seeing new ideas come to life. Over the past few years God has uniquely brought together Ashley’s values of relationship, entrepreneurship, and women’s empowerment to form The Constellation Coalition, a non-profit organization empowering woman around the world to grasp their God-given value and find hope through dignified employment.
My Takeaways:
Ashley came to me asking for help to refine and communicate the message of her dream so that she can grow her nonprofit organization and empower more women worldwide and ultimately end poverty.
As we prepared for the conversation, Ashley repeatedly mentioned her greatest concern was about messaging and even went as far as telling me that she’s just “not good with words.”
I want you to keep this in mind as you listen to her talk about The Constellation Coalition, how God birthed the dream in her, and even the explanation of where the name originated. The words she uses to communicate these things are beautiful and well thought out!
The more I’ve pondered this conversation after the fact, the more it seems Ashley’s fear and imposter syndrome are the true roadblocks to progress in communicating her dream of alleviating poverty around the world.
I am guessing maybe you can relate; I know I can. We come to our dreams not because we chose them but because God chose them for us. And they are big, scary, audacious dreams. Far bigger than what we might have come up with on our own. God calls us there anyway and probably in spite of ourselves.
In this conversation you’ll learn:
