Ben Aitken is a Melbourne based visual artist who's work spans across painting, sculpture, text and video. His work is raw, expressive and autobiographical. Playful and serious in equal measures. He is a five time archibald prize finalist, founder of Nicholas Projects, an itinerant gallery, and exhibits both nationally and internationally.

In late 2021, Ben was arrested and incarcerated on drug trafficking charges. We discuss the events that unfolded, the last few turmultuos years, life and re-entering the art world.
