Indoctrinating children is essential for a society to prosper & propagate. If children are not taught to be responsible, they won’t be; if they’re not taught to be honest, they won’t be; if they’re not taught to be conscientious, they won’t be because societies require trust. Without trust, everyone will make decisions that benefit them the most personally, the very opposite of the goal of a society, which is to do what is in the best interest of everyone in the expectation that it will benefit them too.

In the early years of America, children were indoctrinated with so-called Christian values, which are simply time-honored rules for a society’s continued existence. But there are other sets of values that work equally well; pre-Christian Rome had pagan self-indulgent values which endured for centuries, Consider Christians during Rome. They would suffer any indignity, any torture to display their devotion to their beliefs. Eventually, the whole empire had to adopt their value system because the other side was not nearly as dedicated. Multiculturalism, which means differing value systems, tears a society apart because everyone is not getting the same indoctrination.
